Thoughts From The Kitchen

A lot of emotions have passed by in the last 2 weeks. Despair, disgust, desperation, and disguise.  Yes, disguise is an emotion if you confront those who claim to be something they're not - they are in disguise. Consider Cauliflower rice. There is no such thing. Once you put the cauliflower into the food processor and pulverize it into what resembles rice, it is neither rice or cauliflower. Just don't even go there. It's such a disappointment.

The same has been true of those men wearing Bears uniforms. I only know a few names. Most of the real Bears are gone - Urlacher, Forte, Robbie Gould, OMG. Then Cutler hurt his thumb and Hoyer stepped in.  Hoyer did a nice job and the team seemed to want to rally around him. Further, a home field win was fabulous

However, Robbie's replacement, once again, missed a field goal we have come to count on. Finally, da Bears made their best effort to lose the game at the end when they were penalized for illegal formation when they didn't send enough men onto the field and Detroit ran for an 85 yard touchdown. Really coach? Really?

Not one to dis' a win, I am hoping for something more resembling the Monsters of the Midway in places other than my candy bowl.

What do you have planned for the Colts, Bears cooks?  In the past, we've enjoyed Midwestern favorites like pork or corn dishes. Do you want some recipes or should we stay silent?
